Hello everyone! I’m sure, like me, many of you follow the Dalai Lama so this quote may not be news, but it’s such a good one. It would be very nice to walk into a market that sold happiness and search the aisle for the kind you want, right? How easy! But the Dalai Lama reminds us that happiness isn’t external and happiness isn’t something attained from someone or somewhere else. We are responsible for our own happiness. We choose it. And we can choose to spread it.
We all have bad days; I’ve had my share, that’s for sure. And there’s nothing wrong with allowing yourself to experience feeling badly because of it. But time knows only one direction and, while dwelling on a bad day, a bad week, or a bad year is something that one can freely choose, it’s important to ask if it’s the most productive choice. Some people I know recently passed away in a tragic automobile accident. A few yours before the accident, they were out with family and friends celebrating a birthday. Then, they were gone. We don’t know how much time we have. It’s important to choose wisely how we spend it.
Here’s to choosing positively. ‘Till next time!
